About
A team decides. At every gate.
Leon & Vera is an AI-native studio for knowledge shows, based in Tallinn, Estonia. AI renders what no one has ever filmed, reads every source and drafts every check. Our editorial team decides what we make: each show has its own editors, specialists in its field, and the editorial board holds the five gates together. The team is named here by its functions; the people on them are not named, and they change.
The editorial team decides. At every gate.
Four desks, each the experts for its part of the work. They work with AI at every step, and that changes what a team can do: every source read, every claim checked twice, every picture tried before it is made. The experts decide. AI gives them a reach no editorial team had before.
The show's editors
Specialists in the show's field. They say yes or no to the pitch, lock the script, approve the pictures and lock the cut. Nothing in a show is made that its editors have not read.
The research desk
Sets how sure we are, from the evidence, never from the character. Every claim is checked at its primary source twice, independently. A reported error lands here first.
The picture desk
Checks every documented scene against its visual sources before a picture is made and again after. Refuses any picture that could pass as a real recording.
The editorial board
Holds the five gates together: the pitch, the script, the pictures, the cut and the release. Reads what viewers report at 2, 7 and 28 days and answers when something is wrong.

How the studio came about
For a year, we worked with every new AI system we could get. Not a single video met our standard. The research was not yet good enough to check every fact, and the pictures could not yet show how complex things fit together.
In July 2026, the systems were finally good enough. But good pictures are not enough. A video can feel clear and still teach nothing. So we studied how people learn: how much a mind can hold at once, why a picture has to arrive with the sentence it explains, why a beautiful image can teach less than a plain one. Every show we make is built on it.
The studio was founded in Tallinn by Jörg Olbing. The editors, the research desk and the picture desk work without bylines. The desk speaks, not a name.
What the name means.
Leon
Leon means lion. It stands for the courage to go deeper: to what has never been filmed, and deeper than any answer a search returns. And for the courage to say "we don't know."
&
The ampersand is you. The understanding happens in your head, and we trust you with a lot of mind. You have to check nothing; every source is there for whoever wants to look.
Vera
Vera means true. Every scene that makes a claim shows how sure it is, and when we get something wrong, we correct it and say why. We earn that name with every episode.
Going deeper. Staying true.
The studio
Leon & Vera OÜ is a company in Tallinn, Estonia. It makes six shows, each hosted by its own character, each with its own channel: the six shows. The studio speaks on this site, in press material and on its own profiles. Inside the shows only the characters speak, and the studio stands in the description as A Leon & Vera Production · leonandvera.com.
Every rule the shows are held to is written down under Standards, and How we work shows every place an episode could go wrong and what catches it.
